Dennis Berthiaume, sole proprietor, with 21 years Union training and experience, founded
 TopNotch WoodWorking in 1995. 
Since that time he has developed his own technique to provide homeowners with a top-of-the-line product at affordable prices.  His experience and genuine know-how are evident in the overall construction.  TopNotch offers traditional face frame or the more contemporary, full overlay, "frame-less" European Styles.  

CONSTRUCTION
Regardless of which species you choose, interiors are 3/4 inch hardwood ply; all joints are "dadoed", glued and screwed.  The backs are 1/4" hardwood ply, hand-nailed for greater strength and durability.  The cabinet lineal foot price includes raised or recessed panels doors and drawer faces as selected by you.  The drawers boxes are priced separately and are either dove-tail construction of 5/8" Solid Maple or 1/2" ply, tongue and groove - both with 1/4" plywood bottoms. The hardware is state of the art:  Concealed, self-closing and fully adjustable hinges; full extension, 100lb rating, steel ball-bearing slides for optimum performance.

FINISH DEPARTMENT
We use a High Volume/Low Pressure Spray System in the finish department to provide a brushfree, even sheen finish to all stain-grade cabinetry.  After the stain (if applicable) is applied, a generous sealer coat is laid on.  After sanding the sealer coat, topcoat is applied with sanding between coats.    We use commercial grade, precatalyzed lacquers to afford you the finest conversion finish available. As a "plus" we clearcoat the interiors of the cabinetry as well!
The fact that we can provide a prefinished cabinet adds to the affordability!
